Research trip to Ft Wayne, IN
Next to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, the Allen County Public Library is the 2nd largest genealogical source in the world.  Located in Fort Wayne Indiana, the trip to the library will take about two hours by bus and depend on your departure point.
 
There are three pickup locations available for your convenience (times are approximate):
  1. Kalamazoo - depart 7:00 am, return 9:15 pm
  2. Marshall - depart 7:35 am, return 8:45 pm
  3. Coldwater - depart 8:00 am. return 8:00 pm

Oakland County Genealogical Society  (Salt Lake City)
Research Trip to Salt Lake City
Oakland County Genealogical Society (OCGS) member Pam Epple leads a research trip to Salt Lake City each year.  Travellers stay at the Salt Lake Plaza at Temple Square - next door to the Family History Library.
 
The hotel package per person is $843 single occupancy; $451 double occupancy; $373 triple occupancy (1 rollaway). This includes: 8 nights lodging; luggage handling at hotel; transportation between SLC airport and hotel; driver & bellman gratuities; library orientation; “get acquainted” breakfast (April 5); work/study-room all day Sunday with afternoon snacks;  and a donation to the Family History Library.
