Formed in 2015, the Western Michigan Genealogical Society's DNA Interest Group (DIG) meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Grand Rapids Public Library's VanderVeen Center on the 4th floor. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. The group discusses the use of Y-DNA (male) and mtDNA (mitochondrial—female) and autosomal DNA (atDNA) tests and their relationship to family history research.

The Capital Area DNA Interest Group will meet on Oct 26th at 10 am in the Lake Huron Room of the Lbrary of Michigan, 702 W Kalamazoo St, Lansing, MI 48911. The gated lot is open on weekends and street parking is free.  The group is hosted by the Ingham County Genealogical Society, Lansing Area African American Genealogical Society, and Mid-Michigan Genealogical Society and meets quarterly. The next meeting will be held in January. Bring your questions. All levels welcome.

The DSGR DNA Special Interest Group has been formed as a learning organization where we exchange our findings as we explore the growing subject of Genetic Genealogy. We meet quarterly at the Detroit Public Library (Main) to learn from and share our experiences.
 
There is free parking in the Employee Parking lot (off Putnam) each Saturday.
